Oh where to begin! We’re two girls slightly obsessed with food and more than slightly obsessed with each other. We met in London when we fatefully landed at the same bakery, Violet Cakes. At 7am, we dutifully made whoopie pies while we spoke about food, art, America, friends, books and boys (even though we both had boyfriends at the time). We worked hard and played with sugar, and our shared love for food and style framed an unbreakable bond.

Now Echo works at a production company, Anderson Hopkins, making photoshoots happen and Ali works for Good Eggs, a start up that aims to support local farmers and foodmakers and to grow regional economies. We’re passionate about seasonal produce and we love exercising our right to buy local whenever we can (and can afford it). Life is about ingredients.

At the end of the day, we live to eat – even when we want to lose those 10 pounds, we never will – and we want to share our passion with you.
